Terminator: Salvation is the 4th movie in the franchise and the 2nd movie without James Cameron at the helm so expectations weren't that high.

This time around it isn't a chase movie like the first 3, they went with an origin story and it is about how John Connor becomes the leader of the resistance.

They do some interesting things with the storyline that were nice to see. Of course the special effects are top notch and the pace is intense from the moment it gets started.

Lots of little tributes to the previous movies in the film that were nice with some nice riffs on the classic events.

Overall:

Fantastic summer blockbuster,  a lot of fun to watch and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it again. :-)
