Okay, lets see if I can make this a regular thing. News from the interweb that caught my eye in Week 2 of 2007.
Video Game news:
- Halo 3 ‘Mongose’ details - this is esential reading for tips on how to use the new ATV vehicle name ‘Mongose’ in Halo 3
- Lost Planet for XBOX 360 comes out - looks good,
- WOW breaks 8 million - and it keeps going on. This game didn’t grab me, though it almost did. I can see why they made it to 8 million, it is very well made like most Blizzard games.
- XBOX 360 IPTV - You need a special service and router from AT&T, can’t see this really taking off, though I would probably get it if I could.
- XBOX Live limit broken - About time, here is hoping they bust it right open for some totally awesome games.
- Crysis for the XBOX 360 - This game looks to be the next big thing on the PC. Here is hoping they make a great version for the XBOX.
Cool Geek Stuff:
- New Google earth release - It doesn’t have realtime satellite (yet!) though it has a more polished interface.
- Cool floating thing - I have no words, just check out the 30 second video
- Japan doesn’t care about the iPhone - when you find out what the Japanese have been doing for years on their 3G network, you can see why they would view the iPhone as a downgrade.
- Tablet Style Macbook - Called the “Mod Book”, this is a MacBook that has been modified to be a tablet PC. This is enough to make me think about buying a MAC. :-)
Thats it for this week, see you next week, maybe, perhaps, depends. STOP PRESSURING ME!!! :-) Geek out.
