Here we go for what caught my eye on the interweb in Week 3 of 2007. Thanks to Lifehacker, Digg, XBOX360Fanboy and Joystiq.
Video Game News:
- Crackdown goes Gold! - This game looks great, the demo still isn’t out (look for it on the 23rd Jan), though it looks awesome.
- XBOX Live size limit increased - Just a rumour, though if they go from 50Mb to 250Mb will really help the type of games that get released on live.
- Play Ocarina of Time (for N64) using Wiimote controls - Thanks to an enterprising geek with some pc knowhow.
- Accidental Video Game porn archive - Not what you think, just screenshots from games in suggestive poses. Very funny.
- Top 7 steps to becomming a Video Game Snob - Handy tips on how not to get hung up on video games.
Geek news:
- Fedora 6 Zod Live CD - This is great for trying linux without installing anything, just burn the .iso file to a CD, put into your PC/Laptop and give it a shot. Bonus points for getting the Superman reference.
- Sharp High Res Monitor - Like looking out a window? Sweet.
- Halo Style Suit - to protect you on your trips to the dodgy parts of town. :-)
- Online comparison of Image editors - Check out all the image editors and features they have. I prefer PXN8.COM.
- To Do lists - Interesting online to do list, will check it out and see how it goes.
- Programabble Waterfall - Super geeks! They can program how the waterfall works so you can see custom logos words etc.
That is all. Geek out.
